Provotyping towards a Feminist UX of AI
What might our interactions with AI systems look like if they were designed from feminist values?
Feminist UX of AI is a design research project using speculative design to imagine a UX of AI beyond commercial design conventions and informed by feminist HCI principles.
Through participatory workshops, we co-created a collection of 20+ provotypes to serve as catalysts for critical reflection and dialogue on how interface affordances of AI systems shape our individual and collective behavior, and how we might re-imagine them.
A project by Nadia Piet as part of the RAAIT program and supported by AIxDESIGN, you can access the library and learn more about the project here.

RE-IMAGINING ALGORITHMIC INTERACTIONS
Through participatory workshops, we co-created a collection of 20+ provotypes - evoking themes of meaningful participation, agency, mindful friction, constestability, computational literacy, plurality of needs, agonistic design, ecological impact, democratic values and more - to serve as catalysts for critical reflection and dialogue on how interface affordances of AI systems shape our individual and collective behavior.
